  A SECTION of the B3232 between Torrington and Barnstaple has been closed for essential drainage repairs. The road will be closed from Rooty Cross to Stoneylands Bridge all week to enable a collapsed drain to be replaced. The opportunity will also be taken to carry out additional maintenance, including patching, within the closed section of road.   A NEW open-top bus service for North Devon will launch this month. The hourly Atlantic Explorer service, which will run from April 22 to August 29, will transport passengers between Barnstaple and Croyde, stopping at Barnstaple train station, Chivenor, Braunton and Saunton en route.
