    WATER POLO BARNSTAPLE under-19s did the double over Newton Abbot with a narrow win away and convincing victory at home. In South Devon, Barnstaple expected a test from tough opposition in a shallow and narrow pool. And so it proved as final-quarter goals from Michael Taylor and Rob Squires clinched a 16-15 win.     THE DRAW for the first round of the Hansen Cup has handed Braunton thirds, last year's runners-up, a home tie against Barnstaple AAC.     RUGBY A LATE converted try saw Bideford under-16s draw 10-10 with Barnstaple on Sunday. Barum scored two first-half tries but failed to close out the game.
