Feedback on rugby players

RECENTLY I printed a colour photograph of a local rugby team with a request for readers to identify the men shown.
Bill Brailey has contacted me with most of the names.
It was a Barnstaple XV around 1972-3 and the players were, back row, left to right: Chris Blackmore, Peter Richards, Kit Heath, Jim Etherington, Keith Brailey, Bill Brailey, ?, Chris Brownscombe, Michael Oerton and George May.
Front row: Peter Melmouth, John Pettit, Philip Jewell, Brian Pearce, Gary Moore, Trevor Frayne, Peter ‘Farmer’ May.
Incidentally Bill said his own nickname was FFFF – which stood for the fastest, fittest, fattest fullback.
The other photograph that appeared with this one has been identified by Andy Lane as the Barnstaple Grammar School 1st XV of 1970/71.
Back row: Alan Brown-scombe, Robert Winton, Malcolm Prouse, Steve Heather, Paul Williams (the captain), John May, John Eden and Gwillam Davies. Front row; Steve Derges, Charlie Passmore, Andy Lane, Dave Butt (vice-captain), Bobby Waters, Jeff Warren and Ian Budge.
