The fact that the paper actually sought permission to name a teenager has prompted me to do just that. I don't need to know the names of people who commit petty crimes. It is none of my business.   I found the sad case in which five people lost their lives in a fire most disturbing (Journal May 16). Whereas hotels and bed and breakfast establishments are required to abide by stringent health and safety regulations it would appear that an owner can turn his property into a house in multiple occupation without any regard to such rules. Then we heard that the Torridge MP, Geoffrey Cox, earned £417,000 a year, from his second job as a solicitor.
