I have had lessons with two different driving instructors previously, but until I started learning with stu I didn't really get it. He got me passed in 5 weeks with only one minor! :) and I don't even have my own car to practise with!! Would highly highly recommend!!

Welcome to Stu Ward Driver Training in Barnstaple

Stu Ward is a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and operates throughout Barnstaple and surrounding areas. A fully independent driving instructor with a vast amount of previous experience, Stu currently has a 100% pass rate for his students! (As of October 2012).

You will learn to drive in a 2011 Vauxhall Corsa (Limited Edition) complete with:

• Power Steering

• Air Conditioning

• Anti-Lock Brakes

• Dual Controls

• Electric Windows

• Spacious Interior with Excellent Visibility

Stu offers a highly flexible teaching style that is tailored to each individual student.

In addition to driving lessons Stu is part of the tutoring team for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), which hold a class on Tuesday evenings at Barnstaple Civic Centre. The classes are free of charge and include talks from off-duty police officers about the dangers of driving. Attendance can contribute to lower insurance premiums so are definitely worth taking part!

Stu ward drive training

Stu was my only instructor and I'm glad it was him!! He was an excellent instructor who made me feel at ease when driving with his relaxed and positive personality and he's affordable. I am much more confident now than I was when I first started. Without him I wouldn't of passed first time or as quickly!! I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive :)

I would highly recommend Stu Ward to anyone - he works driving magic! :) Having been with another instructor for over a year I really wasn't getting anywhere and was majorly lacking in confidence. I hated driving! Within just one lesson with Stu I already felt so much more confident and after just a handful more lessons I have now just passed my test first time! I just regret not having found him sooner! Stu was friendly and relaxed and quickly calmed my nerves. In addition, his teaching methods and techniques were so much easier to understand and apply which meant things that I had been struggling with forever just clicked into place. I'm looking forward to day trips out with the kids now - thanks Stu!! :)

I was with another driver instructor before Stu and I found I really wasn't getting anywhere. So I changed to Stu and he made it so easy to understand and explained everything so clearly! I was so nervous but Stu helped calm my nerves and helped me to pass when I thought I never would! I've already recommended him to some of my friends and would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive, especially if you're really nervous! :)

Stu is a amazing driving instructor, he is so profesional and friendly, Before my first lesson I was very nervous about starting to drive but Stu made me feel very relaxed and comfortable in the drivers seat. I feel like I learned very quickly with Stu. At test day I was even more nervous but Stu helped to calm me down and was just great, I highly recommend Stu Ward, a great, friendly instructor, brilliant. Cheers Stu!

Stu ward Driver Training

Stu ward driver training is fantastic! I had only just received my provisional license and was desperate to start learning to drive but was finding it different to pick between the many different instructors you see dotted around, i am so glad that it was Stu ward driver training! During my lessons i felt completely comfortable, relaxed and learnt at my own pace and as my learning progressed i stopped seeing Stu as just my driving instructor but as a friend as well which made the entire learning experience just that much more fun! I passed my test first time and could tell that Stu Ward was just as ecstatic as i was, i would recommend Stu ward driver training to anyone looking to learn how to drive in a relaxed and enjoyable environment!

Would do it all over again!

Stu Ward wasn't my first driving instructor but he was my last! I was a really nervous driver but that soon changed and I quickly became more confident and became a better driver as a result. I would recommend Stu to anyone.
