A guide to Barnstaple's New Year's Eve Party 2012

New Year's Eve 2012 is upon us once again and Barnstaple will be taking part in the celebrations from 9pm onwards on the town's Square.
DJ James Chapple will be entertaining the crowds throughout the night with a range of party tunes. Pete Buffery and Nikkita will also be taking to the stage to entertain crowds. And, for the first time, at midnight, revellers will be able to enjoy a live rendition of Auld Lang Syne from talented local vocalist Gemma McCleod rather than the usual pre-recorded version. Organisers also promise a few other surprises throughout the night!
At midnight DJ James Chapple will be joined on stage by the Mayor and Mayoress of Barnstaple for the 'Final Countdown' to 2013.
As for the weather. Currently, the rain looks set to clear away by 7.00pm this evening. There is a risk of light showers from 9.00pm to 10.00pm, but midnight should see a dry start to the New Year in Barnstaple.
