Military Service Medals Stolen in Barnstaple Burglary

Police in Barnstaple are seeking help from the public following a house burglary in the Town.

 

The burglary occurred between 12.45pm and 1.00pm on Wednesday 9th June at a property in the Gorwell area of the Town.

 

Entry to the property was gained via an insecure first floor

window, and during a search of the house several items were stolen

including Military Service Medals which are of high sentimental value.

 

Police are appealing to the community to try and locate these

items which are described as a silver coloured General Service Medal -

Northern Ireland and a bronze Bosnia Campaign medal.

Also stolen was a gold ‘Bulova’ wrist watch with a green and brown face, and a gold & platinum finger ring.
