More buses through the country please.
I am a young person of Devon and i am constantly bombarded with the fact that buses running through the outskirts of North Devon are three things: Very irregular, more than likely late at arrival and in awful condition.
My friend, for example, lives in Kingsford, Umberleigh and finds it hard to commute in and out of Barnstaple to work and go to college. 3 buses a day is all she can catch, one at 8am, then again at 9am then not until 4pm. The cost of the ticket has shot up since 2010, where it was just £1.05, whereas now the price of a ticket from Kingsford to Barnstaple can reach as much as £1.65.
The conditions of the bus are some what to be desired. The oldest buses seem to be used for the longest journeys, does this make sence?
