Student Stabbed During Attempted Robbery in Barnstaple

A foreign language student was stabbed during an attempted robbery by a gang of youths in Barnstaple, North Devon.

Around 7.30 pm on Thursday 10 February the male student was challenged by the assailants opposite the bowling green in Rock Park, Barnstaple.
When he refused to hand over his mobile phone and cash he was stabbed in the arm before running away.
The three male suspects are described as follows;
The first is a white man, aged in his late teens, approximately 5’4” in height, skinny build, with short ginger hair, gelled on top and wearing a black hooded top, a black ‘T’ shirt, and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes up the sides.
The second suspect is a white man aged approximately 19 years, medium build, approximately 5’ 5” in height, and wearing a black hooded top with shiny silver writing on the back, black jogging bottoms with a white emblem on the right pocket of a horse or tiger. He was carrying a black handled knife with a blade approximately 8” in length.
The third suspect is described as being a white man approximately 5’ 5” in height.
