Nestled in Devon's most picturesque country side, Marwood Hill Gardens is a 20 acre private garden with a range of stunning lakes, walks and impressive 'National Collections' of plants and 'Champion Trees'.

Just 4 miles from Barnstaple these gardens are the perfect setting for amateur and professional photographers alike. Often in the past the gardens have been host to filming and photographers from the BBC.

For all the budding gardeners out there we have an excellent collection of plants and flowers from all over the world. We are especially proud of our large number of magnolias, of which we have over 80. In addition some of the other plants you can see on display include:

• Astilbes

• Tulbaghia

• Japanese Iris

• Rhododendron

With our new Coach and Car Parking available we are very accessible, and entrance to the gardens is just (2012 Prices) £5.50 adults Children under 12 are Free or why not purchase a season ticket then you can visit as many times as you like. Dogs on leads are very welcome too.

The Walled Garden Plant Centre

At our plant centre we display and sell a range of our nursery plants, many of which are propagated and grown from the plants in the garden. So if you see something you like in the garden, just talk to our knowledgeable staff and they may be able to help you find it on sale.

We also have a range of shrubs and trees which have also been propagated on site. As we propagate all the plants ourselves, we offer them at very reasonable rates compared to most garden centres.

Garden Tea Room

Being set on such a wonderful location, the tea rooms are the perfect addition to Marwood Hill Gardens. With views of the gardens, the tea rooms offer a range of teas, coffee, light snacks and lunches. With our home baked cakes and pies, it is the perfect place to stop for a Devonshire cream tea.
