Santa set to arrive in style for Brayford Pre-School Christmas Fair

Brayford might be a small place, but on at least one day a year something very big happens. Father Christmas gives Rudolph and his reindeer companions the day off, and instead travels to Boomerangs Pre School's Christmas Fair by helicopter, before parachuting in to meet the children, James Bond-style.
Kelly Leonard, who helps organise the Fair, and is also a member of the chart-topping The Military Wives Choir, says: "My connections with Chivenor help us transport Father Christmas in this special way, and children who want to see his spectacular arrival should be here at approximately three o'clock."
Otherwise, the Fair runs from 1.00 – 4.00 on Saturday 24 November in Brayford Village Hall, adjacent to the Primary School, where the Boomerangs meet three times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
There will be various seasonal treats on offer at the Fair, to please the kids and get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Besides meeting Father Christmas in person, children can win a prize in the Lucky Dip, name the teddy or Hook a Hook Duck competitions. There will also be special Christmas hats for sale, a Badge making stall, and nail painting.
For the adults, and those helping with Christmas present shopping, why not buy homemade produce such as jams and cakes, jewellery, needle craft, or kitchen must-haves From Jamie Oliver and The Pampered Chef? Otherwise, try your luck in the raffle, before settling down for some suitably seasonal refreshments.
