Heanton Residents pay respect

Staff and Residents at the award-winning Heanton Nursing Home came together to take part in a Remembrance Day Service.

They read prayers and sang hymns as they paid their respects to mark the 94th anniversary of the First World War.

Newly appointed Care Home Manager Sara Maynard told us "many of our residents can recall the wars that affected so many people. It is important that we provide our residents with the opportunity to remember their friends and loved ones".

Heanton Nursing Home has a long tradition of organising events and activities for its residents so that they remain part of the community.

The remembrance event took place at Heanton nursing home on Wednesday November 7th 2012 at 2.15pm.
