Barnstaple residents get to vote for their first police and crime commissioner tomorrow

Barnstaple residents will join the rest of England and Wales tomorrow (Nov 14) in deciding who will become their first local police chief.
Local polling stations will open at 7.00am until 10.00pm tomorrow night. There are ten candidates to choose from in the Devon and Cornwall election, including six independents.
The new police and crime commissioner will be in charge of setting local policing priorities across Devon and Cornwall.
Polling stations will be open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The candidates are as follows

• HOGG, Tony (Conservative Party Candidate)
• JORDAN, Ivan James (Independent)

• SMITH, John (Independent)
• SMITH, Robert (UK Independence Party)
• WILLIAMS, Nicky (Labour Party Candidate)
