During February and March the Heritage Centre is offering special rates for the Journey Through Time Exhibition.

It's an interactive exhibition exploring Barnstaple's history through Saxon and Tudor times, Barnstaple's maritime history and the Civil War to music of John Gay.

John Gay, born in Barnstaple in 1685, was the English poet and dramatist who wrote The Beggar's Opera in 1728.

Visitors will be able to try their hand at brass rubbing, and take part in quizzes and finding the 'lost mice' hidden throughout the exhibition.

This would be an interesting event to entertain the children with at school half-term.

There is a two for one deal on all Adult tickets including concessions.
